The President - Power Systems will be responsible for leading and managing the global business, driving the organization to meet or exceed its growth and profitability objectives. The President-Power Systems will focus on driving business improvement initiatives, which optimize capacity, cost, quality, and customer service. The President-Power Systems will also develop and implement business and talent strategies which lead to growth in sales, profits, market share, and return on capital employed. Additionally, the President – Power Systems, will lead the strategy to build and transition the business to a cleaner energy focus.

• Develop, present, and execute short-term and long-term business plans designed to assure the growth of the business market share and profitability.

• Develop and maintain organization strategy and ensure capable leadership succession. Develop a strong management team approach to problem solving, issue resolution, business strategy planning, market opportunities, and talent evaluation and development.

• Develop a communications strategy to ensure that short and long-term business objectives are understood throughout the business, specifically as those objectives relate to new product development, business growth and profitability, and any significant changes in management or organizational design.

• Establish and maintain close customer and supplier relationships, participating in the sales/purchasing process, maintaining a competitive market understanding, and actively promoting the businesses products and accomplishments in the trade and general business press.

• Review all functional aspects of the existing organization to ensure that the most effective resources of the division are being appropriately applied and that the infrastructure can meet the strategic needs of the business plan. Any such review should focus on the organization to ensure that all functions meet the needs of the business to grow market share substantially over the next several years.

• Proactively understand the market trends in the Clean Energy space and build business strategy to capture market and drive business growth.

• Review the organization structure and make changes where necessary to ensure that product offerings are responsive to market-specific and worldwide product requirements and that Research and Development is responsive to new market data, studying new product initiatives, and is providing required product support. Make sure that the business’ products and technology are developed and maintained in a leadership position in the industry.

• Support to organize and direct a world-class manufacturing effort that optimizes facility utilization, applies state-of-the- art manufacturing techniques, efficiently manages materials and logistics and meets the high standards of the industry and customer base.

Skills/Requirements

• Engineering Degree with an MBA preferred.
• At least ten (10) years of progressive business experience with at least five (5) years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Strong strategic planning experience with functional experience in business development, marketing, and finance.
• Demonstrated experience in ensuring execution and deliverables as required in various business initiatives.
• Functional experience in manufacturing engineering and marketing highly desirable.
• A general understanding of power systems, engines, and/or generator products or industry, or complementary industry.
