Primary Care Accelerated Track (PCAT) Associate Coordinator

Provides daily support in the execution of an assigned program, section, or special interest group and implements procedures, processes, services, and systems to support program workflow. Evaluates and monitors projects, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and advises staff on program policies. Creates program communications, coordinates data and manages program databases, and assists in developing program evaluations.

Essential Functions The Primary Care Accelerated Track (PCAT) is a joint program between the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Medical Education that allows a select group of students to finish medical school in just three years and be eligible to enter one of UPMC’s primary care residency programs. The PCAT Associate Coordinator will provide administrative support to the program by overseeing the admissions process, managing student courses and clinical placements, tracking student milestones, and serving as a liaison between the School of Medicine and the UPMC residency programs.
Physical Effort Incumbent is responsible for coordination of special curricular programs activities. Appropriate computer and interpersonal skills are essential as are administrative abilities to facilitate organization and execution of tasks. Incumbent is expected to move about Scaife Hall particularly and the University and teaching hospitals generally. Incumbent is generally not expected to be able to lift and move as necessary objects (e.g., equipment and materials of approx. 10 to 25 lbs.) and push carts with materials and supplies.
