JOB SUMMARY

The overall objective and purpose of the Production Technician is to setup, operate, and restore audio-visual systems for Plant Riverside District Entertainment, including Special Events and District Live Concert Venue, in a world-class hospitality environment while ensuring high standards and excellent results through attention to detail, effective communication, and organization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Audio-Visual Systems
• Setup, operate, and restore small to intermediate scale audio-visual systems such as live-event audio, lighting, video, and staging
• Understand signal flow and have basic knowledge of troubleshooting audio-visual equipment
• Inventory and maintain all audio-visual equipment to ensure all items are in perfect working order
• Make minor repairs to audio-visual equipment
• Ensure major repairs are reported and equipment is repaired, tested, and returned into working inventory
• Report when broken items need to be replaced and when items need to be re-ordered, e.g. tape, batteries, tie-line, etc.
• Communicate with various departments to ensure audio-visual systems are set and tested in a punctual, tidy, and effective manner
• Monitor events as needed to ensure audio-visual equipment is working properly
• Ensure audio-visual equipment storage areas are neat, clean, and organized for efficiency

• Work closely with Production Manager to ensure schedules are met, standards are high, and excellence is achieved
• Ensure a positive and creative team environment within the department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High-school diploma or GED - required
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in similar scope and title - preferred
• 1+ year of customer service or hospitality experience - preferred
• Experience within luxury brand/markets - required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

• Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
• Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism, & collaboration.
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors throughout the year, including irregular hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Schedules may vary from week to week, based on business demands, in excess of forty (40) hours with or without notice.
