Company Overview and Job Purpose

Covelli Construction, formerly Mike Vitte Construction, is one of the top luxury builders in Naples, FL, specializing in custom homes and luxury renovations.

With a 20+ year track record, Covelli Construction has completed some of the most impressive renovations in the Naples, FL area. The company has strong relationships with many of the top subcontractors in the area, as well as 6 full time site workers on staff.

In May of 2021, Mike Vitte Construction was acquired and was recently rebranded to Covelli Construction. Above all else, the owners are looking to hire a Project Coordinator to spearhead collecting and carefully reviewing subcontractor bids in a timely fashion. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will assist with scheduling subcontractors on various jobs and communicating with the superintendents and Business Manager.

Candidates must have previously demonstrated abilities in planning, subcontractor selection, cost management, subcontractor scheduling and occasional field visits, as well as a high degree of knowledge regarding condo and home construction. Most importantly, the highest standards of professionalism are required.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop scopes of work to be sent to subcontractors for bidding purposes
  • Collect and review proposals for all scopes of work in a timely fashion
  • Review the project blueprints and scopes of work to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
  • Schedule subcontractors on various jobs according to project schedules
  • Review all bids to confirm accuracy and any required changes prior to management submission
  • Coordinate and communicate clearly with subcontractors
  • Communicate with superintendents and the business manager to ensure project timelines are met
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones

Qualifications

·Minimum 3+ years of direct Project Coordinator experience or Construction Management schooling

·Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods

·Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

·Understanding of all facets of the construction process

·Familiarity with construction management software packages, preferably Builders Trend

·Ability to plan and see the “big picture”

·Competent in conflict and crisis management

·Leadership and human resources management skills

·Excellent time and project management skills

·BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field

Direct reports

The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Business Manager, as well as Ownership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
