QC INSPECTOR

OVERVIEW –
As a small but rapidly growing provider of state-of-the-art optical systems for commercial and defense – related clients, EIDETIC OPTICAL SYSTEMS of Valencia, CA is now looking for an experienced, detail- oriented QC Inspector. The position is full-time (40 hours M-F), from $24 to $30/hr. depending upon background. We require someone who can flexibly help us grow our Quality Department to meet the requirements mandated by our close-toleranced systems and desire to complete ISO 9001 and other certifications.

We continue to actively acquire measurement systems and tools to expand our Inspection capabilities, while simultaneously refining our Engineering and Production processes. The innovation and quality found in our products is largely responsible for our aggressive growth; accordingly we are searching for someone with a similar blend of characteristics.

REQUIREMENTS –

- Minimum 5 years of experience in QC Inspection of high-precision metal parts using conventional analog and digital Indicators, calipers, micrometers, sizing gauges, etc.

- Will use electronic Height Gauge (TESA), mechano-optical CMM (Keyence) and larger Bridge/Granite programmable CMM (Fowler), though related experience is welcome.

Familiar with nominal Inspection processes, reports and forms for ISO 9001 compliant:
- First Article Inspections
- In-Process Inspections
- Final Inspections
- Acceptance and Rejection documentation
- Monitoring of QC equipment viability and calibrations

- Review engineering drawings and specifications for conformance to established QC principles

- Can fully read and interpret GD&T tolerancing and dimensioning callouts on drawings

- Capable of determining and documenting root causes of defects

- Can communicate effectively with personnel from Engineering, Machine Shop, Production and Management
