BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the inspection and testing of the manufacturing processes and products to ensure that the product quality and customer specification criteria is maintained through the verification of SSOPs, GMPs, and HACCP. The quality assurance technician will work with a variety of test equipment and methods for the inspection of processes and products. Ensure that the proper procedures are being followed and documented in order to maintain product quality and records traceability. The quality assurance technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned. Job requires some twisting, pulling, bending and finger manipulation at times. Standing is required during working hours. Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed. Ability to lift – up to 50 lbs., and work on weekends as needed. Ability to work in cold and wet environment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of QA terminology, methods, and tools. Experience in SOPs, GMPs, and HACCP. Calibration, inspection and cleanliness of equipment. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Able to work independently with little supervision.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent- GED.
