Quality Control Inspector 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT

Summary
The responsibilities of this position include monitoring production to ensure quality standards are maintained with the regards to packaging, fill weights, product cleanliness, and batch coding to ensure approval of the finished product. The Quality Control Inspector will sign off on the fill record ensuring that the correct packaging is being used and the all fill instructions are being followed. The inspector also performs any other duties assigned by the Quality Control Manager to insure that the identity, strength, quality and purity of the products are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Swabbing all production lines before start-up.
- Monitor Production lines to ensure high quality standards are being used.
- Complete all required forms throughout production process.
- All batch paperwork has the correct production label, production code label, and shippers label attached to Production audit form.
Direct Responsibilities –Production
- Maintain a disciplined and professional code of conduct and dressing.
- Read all BOM and fill instructions and ensure that the product being produced
- Is being processed correctly.
- Inspect and ensure that the weights of the finished goods meet label claim.
- Inspect and ensure that the torques of the finished goods conform to the required standards.
- Inspect all production lines by performing Hygienia Swabs.
- Alert those responsible when contamination levels are unacceptable.
- Inspect and ensure proper packaging, verify counts of finished goods and etc.
- Maintain written records of all results of the inspection obtained during the course of the production run.
- Pull all required retain and micro samples as instructed in the fill records
- Perform any other assignments directed by Quality Manager.
- Fill out the sample submission forms and deliver the samples to the pickup area in time for daily pick up by outside laboratories.

Education/Experience:
A minimum of 1 year in a cosmetic/ pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or appropriate internal training.
