Join the Blue Gate Restaurant kitchen team as a salad maker. A salad maker will prepare, make, and plate salads and side items while mindful of appearance, portion size, and garnishing.

Salad Maker Responsibilities:

• Wash, cut, slice, and chop lettuce, vegetables, and chicken.
• Properly plate salads for portion control and appearance.
• Put salad dressings and condiments into serving side containers.
• Stock cooler with salads and side items (Must be in stock at all times)
• Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
• Perform other duties as needed.

A salad maker will work three to five weekly shifts, including some evenings and Saturdays. Adult pay starts at $13.00 per hour. Experience is not required, and we provide paid training. In addition, our kitchen staff is cross-trained so that each person can build new skills and reach their full potential.

Salad Maker Requirements:

• Safe food handling practices
• Must work some evenings and Saturday
• Excellent communication with the team, managers, and guests
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, which include standing and moving for an eight-hour shift, lifting, working under pressure, bending, reaching, and stretching
• Must be at least 17 years old
• Work efficiently and accurately.
