Pierson Computing Connection, Inc. (PCCi), a rapidly growing, woman-owned company, needs seasonal part-time help on our climate-controlled configuration production line. Salary/Wages/Hours

$17.50/hour

This is an hourly overtime-eligible position. The configuration center work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with an unpaid 30-minute lunch, and Friday 7 to 11 a.m. with seasonal configuration associates working the hours they are available within that schedule. Some overtime is possible requiring the ability to occasionally work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with management approval. Schedules will be communicated in advance.

Work will begin the week of June 5, 2023, and last through the beginning of September 2023.

What Configuration Associates Do

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Configure and image laptops, tables, and other technology to customer specifications
• Complete asset tagging, wiring, and cart building
• Unbox and repack hardware and accessories
• Utilize Pierson’s inventory control software to execute data capture within the configuration process
• Pack, palletize, and label pallets of product after production
• Occasionally assist in receiving and shipping of product from ground and less-than-truckload (LTL) small freight carriers
• Meet team goals
• Maintain a clear, safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

What Competencies You Need

• Possess basic math skills
• Knowledge of basic computer, tablet, and accessory operations, including web-based application, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Google Workspace, and QR and barcode scanners
• Able to read proficiently, speak clearly and concisely, engage in active listening, and exercise near-vision acuity
• Able to executive repeat fine manipulations of fingers
• Able to use a cell phone or web-based application (HCMtoGo) to track hours worked by project
• Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Required Education and Experience

The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

• High school degree or equivalent. We will consider high school students, age 16 or older with work permits
• Class C (passenger vehicle) driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Able to pass a basic math skills test encompassing addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating percentages

Preferred Education and Experience

The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

• Current enrollment or associate degree in a computer science or related field
• Two-year’s experience in a comparable position

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Upon offer of employment, the selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test and Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record background check at Pierson’s expense.
