Manufacturing Engineer job in
Palmdale, California is available with GeoLogics Top
Aerospace & Defense company. To qualify for this job you will be a U.S. Citizen with active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance; Bachelor of Science and 9+ years of manufacturing engineer experience using Catia V5 and DFM principals and theories; preferably in Aerospace, Space or Defense with Structural Assembly and/or Sub-Systems
Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling
- Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout
- Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools, equipment and functions that affect product performance.
- Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
- Coordinate with the Product Focus Teams, Factory Material Flow, Tool Services, and Facilities in developing and implementing production readiness in each of the component and assembly areas
- Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan
- Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency
- Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
- Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques
- Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
Must have:
- U.S. Citizen with U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance with investigation in the last 5 years or Continuous Evaluation
- Bachelor of Science and 9+ years of experience or Master of Science and 7+ years of experience
- Proficient use of Catia V5
- ME experience with Design for Manufacturing
- Experience with "first time build"
- Manufacturing experience preferable within Aerospace, Space or Defense - Structural Assembly or Sub-Systems
- 1st & 2nd shift available
