The Program Manager for International New Business is responsible for the successful global marketing of JDAM, SDB, Harpoon, SLAM-ER, and derivative products. The Program Manager leads multiple campaigns and initiatives while working closely with a team of peers to cover all global business opportunities for Boeing’s weapon export business. The Program manager in this position is responsible for helping to ensure that the weapons team has the right product offered to the global market at the right time and at a price that is both executable and meets customer budget constraints. Boeing Weapons is entering a period of expansion and will continue to rely heavily on the international market for sustained growth.
The current customer base consists of air forces and navies in over 40 countries with efforts underway in several potential new customer nations. The Program Manager maintains a direct interface with domestic and international customers and helps the team in maintaining relationships and communication with US and international government agencies, shipyards, suppliers, consultants, and trading companies. The Program Manager leads the team in working collaboratively with business development and Boeing International counterparts to ensure our collective success globally. This position is responsible for understanding customer requirements, and program vision and establishing and maintaining a strong customer relationship.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work directly with the core weapon programs, program development teams, and production teams to create business strategies and assist with timely and efficient program execution.
- Work closely with the Boeing Weapons international execution team and program elements to ensure we maintain high quality and high customer satisfaction.
- International sales and marketing utilizing both Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS).
- Coordinate closely with USN and USAF international program elements for FMS sales and various government agencies to ensure both the US and FMS customer requirements are met and concerns addressed.
- Direct communication and coordination with international customers for DCS sales.
- Direct formal proposal development to capture both FMS and DCS opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with the Boeing Defense headquarters to work with various USG security cooperation, international relations, export policy offices, and international embassy officials.
- Ensure all licensing is in place to accomplish international marketing efforts and play a critical integration role with product improvements and developmental activity for the international market.
- Develop and execute the Program’s strategy with routine involvement in cross-function, cross-program, and/or enterprise-wide activity.
- Lead/participate in business case development for existing and new products, advising Weapons leadership on the potential international market for capability upgrades in support of investment strategies, and developing plans for life-cycle sustainment/upgrades for international customers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Saint Charles, MO.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Familiarity with weapon systems such as JDAM / SDB or Harpoon / SLAM-ER is required.
- Experience with developing and sustaining productive customer relationships to promote business objectives.
- Experience with international customers.
- Ability to comprehend various technical/engineering disciplines with the ability to communicate with technical personnel on issues impacting the design, production, and support of products.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Accredited technical degree or business degree (Bachelor or Master) from an accredited course of study is preferred.
- Previous military experience or relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Success in international defense sales and demonstrated knowledge of both FMS and DCS processes is preferred.
- Experience working with US and Foreign Government acquisition processes is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of export regulations and experience with export licensing, TAAs, and/or MLAs is preferred.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
This position requires up to 50% of travel.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $136,850 - $185,150
