Description: SUMMARY
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for assisting Shipping Department with all daily shipping and inventory for all Costco warehouse shipments of marketing supplies and materials. This individual must be organized, energetic and dependable that desires a role to assist with the growing responsibilities of the department. Responsibilities will include handling inventory, as well as incoming and outbound shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain an orderly, organized shipping department
• Maintain proper inventory levels of packing/shipping supplies
• Participate in weekly meetings with Shipping Manager to plan out week, foster communication and prioritize department goals
• Ability to follow established processes and document procedures
• Quality control, oversight and overseeing standard operating procedures in shipping/warehouse
• Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
• Maintains good working relationships with vendors and employees
• Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
• Compiles records of unfilled orders
• Posts weight and shipping charges, prepare bills of lading, maintain receiving records and purchase orders
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma with one year of related experience and/or training;equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills and
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexible, adaptable and able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment
• Dependable, with a strong work ethic
• Ability to to work in both a team environment and as an individual
• Ability to lift up to 60+lbs
• Work can be performed while sitting, standing or walking. Work performed will entail fine manipulation of hands and/or fingers, as well as repetitive hand action; bending, twisting, squatting and climbing, using upper and lower body mobility. Employee may be required to move and lift heavy boxes of books.
