DCC Automation/Dairy Conveyor Corp., is a design and manufacturing company who manufactures conveyor and machinery primarily used in liquid milk processing facilities. We also produce conveyor and equipment for Non-Dairy industries such as Bakeries, Cannabis, Meat Fish & Poultry, Nutraceuticals, and Pharmaceuticals.

DCC Automation/Dairy Conveyor Corp., also provides comprehensive aftermarket services including installation, repair, redesign, spare part production and commissioning of the conveyor and equipment that we manufacture.

Company Headquarters is in Brewster, NY, and we additionally manufacture in Huntington Beach, CA, Las Vegas, NV and St. Paul, MN. This opening is for Huntington Beach, CA.

Position Summary: Welder/Fabrication Supervisor plans, manages, and optimizes the activities of the Fabrication Assembly Department to safely produce quality Machinery in the most efficient manner possible. Responsibilities can be divided into three general categories: (1) Quality, (2) Productivity, and (3) Safety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and oversee fabrication & assembly shop
• Read blueprints and execute scope of work
• Communicate with the management team to maximize efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Schedule fabrication & assembly shop and ensure that production deadlines are met
• Manage shop equipment and ensure that a safe, orderly condition is maintained
• Understand and strictly adhere to safety and quality guidelines without deviation
• Develop quality welding procedures
• Provide root cause and execute corrective action plans
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce production, safety, quality systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure that all welding/fabrication meets specified requirements
• Act as a technical resource and provide employee training
• Maintain records, and performance documentation
• Prepare clear and concise reports
• Must be proficient in welding as this is a working-foreman position
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/or College Degree
• Must have 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication, stainless steel, and assembly
• Proficient in construction drawings and blueprint reading
• Valid drivers license required

Experience in welding, assembly, utilization of shop equipment

• Excellent communication skills, professional, team-player, and safety focused
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft, Excel, word, Power Point and Outlook

The individual may occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position is subject to an uncontrolled manufacturing shop with environmental conditions, which could expose the associate to heat and cold weather, noise, and oils as well as subjected to hazards such as, but not limited to, moving parts and vehicles, heat and chemicals, and electrical current.
