Actalent is currently partnered with an automotive manufacturer in West Jefferson, OH and we are hiring a Simulation Engineer to support this company. This client actively participates in the development and manufacturing of new automobiles. They offer design and development for press dies, auto body components design proposals and other tools that are absolutely necessary for the mass production of vehicle components. Their facilities support high quality product manufacturing and we provide a timely and flexible approach to meeting the needs of their clients. PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Examine the optimal forming method / press direction / die shape from the product shape and create 3D data with CATIA • Set optimum conditions to correlate with reality, and perform forming, collision and dynamic analysis. • Identify concerns that could cause problems during mass production from the results of forming and collision / dynamic CAE, and implement appropriate measures. o Example: Changing die shapes, requesting Guest Engineer to change product shapes, etc. • Use CAE software (mainly JSTAMP) to publish results accurately and quickly. • Conduct fundamental research to realize and maintain the correlation between reality and CAE • Verify other possible problems during mass production and eliminate concerns • Work with all related departments and J-groups to solve problems and improve business • Collect past problem history (PPH) from plants and apply measures to product drawings and die • Always report the situation to managers and seek consultation / judgment as necessary • Construct simulated environments to model different scenarios and variables in order to eliminate areas of concern. • Provide analysis, data and recommendations to department heads for additional input and further direction. • Document scenarios used with their outcomes. • Lead or participate in assigned projects. • Should support to aim for a safety factor of 100% for E0-1 evaluation in the drawings.
