This is a senior-level professional and administrative position ensuring oversight and support for the District Court Mental Health Program using professional social work theories, methodologies, and practice standards. Incumbent will develop annual Mental Health Court plans, review and analyze court mental health data reports, and supervise and coordinate the activities of program monitoring and contract staff.
This is a part-time, limited term grant funded (LTGF) position with benefits.
What You'll Do:
Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Prince George’s County District Court Mental Health Program.- Collects, analyzes, and interprets program data, and submits bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of program activities and accomplishments to the Department of Family Services Mental Health and Disabilities Administration.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff.
- Conducts semi-annual clinical record reviews of mental health staff and vendors.
- Monitors the SMART data tracking system to ensure compliance with the Office of Problem Solving Court.
What You'll Need:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university or equivalent program as determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners with a Master's Degree in Social Work.
- Three (3) years Post Masters experience providing social work services including two (2) years of lead/supervisory responsibilities; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university or equivalent program as determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners with a Master's Degree in Social Work.Five (5) years Post Masters's experience providing social work services including two (3) years of lead/supervisory responsibilities; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience. Approved Supervisor credential by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Upon selection, the applicant must:
- Possession of a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) certified by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners at the time of appointment.
- Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle when required for the performance of job-related duties at the time of appointment.

EXAMINATION: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be administered an online examination to demonstrate proficiency in administrative duties and computer software programs. Applicants must pass the online proficiency examination in order to be considered for this position.
DURATION OF ELIGIBILITY: Candidates will be selected from a temporary register of eligible candidates, which will become effective approximately four (4) weeks after the closing date. Once a selection has been made, the registration will expire.
