Software Engineer – Hudsonville, Michigan

In this role, you will lead a team of electrical and software engineers to drive design excellence across a product life cycle. In this role, you will conceptualize and engineer software application solutions that enable new product designs. These projects will primarily exist within the Mobile, Web, and IoT technology stacks.

What you will get to do:
- Lead software development projects in conjunction with functional and electrical design requirements
- Support existing applications for Apple and Android mobile devices
- Generate new applications/functionality for Apple and Android mobile devices
- Collaborate with the Project Engineering team for launch of new products
- Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
What will make you successful:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- 3-5+ years of software engineering experience
- Fluent with React Native environment for Mobile Applications
- Fluent with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript programming
- Proficient with C programming language
- Experience with Android/Apple applications and posting to the stores
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Experience with serial communications and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/RF communications
- Familiarity with Cloud Programming/IoT principles a plus
- Proactive, self-starter with a sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to build trust and operate with a high level of integrity
- A focus on customer satisfaction and retention ensuring customers receive best in class products and service
- Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
