The Specialist, Product Marketing, SOHO Printing Solutions supports all product marketing SOHO (Small Office-Home Office) Printing Solutions strategy efforts for the business. This position works towards being a subject matter expert on the products and supports the execution of Brother’s marketing plans through all touch-points, with specific focus on SOHO Printing. This position works towards understanding the competitive landscape (Inkjet, Mono & Color Laser), customer buying behavior, and market trends, and then incorporates that information to develop relevant marketing materials and product positioning, with guidance from management. This position works towards takes a leadership role with a variety of marketing projects, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

  • Market / Data Analysis
  • Support the creation of in-depth market and brand analyses to assist Brand Management
  • Support the monitoring and tracking of brand performance and initiatives (share, monthly sales, competitive intel., etc.); use this information to create product relevant content
  • Using available data sources and market research data, help to formulate new go-to-market concepts and ideas to combat competitive threats
  • Create executive summaries based on insights gathered
  • Learn and understand the competitive environment to assess the impact on the SOHO business segments
  • Take the lead on several projects related to current strategic initiatives

  • New Product Launch Support
  • Working with the Product Marketing team, support the process for new product launches
  • Maintain and organize activities in the project management software (Workfront) & coordinate with key stakeholders accordingly
  • Help develop Marketing Guideline Documents (MGD) and other launch documents
  • Work with Product team and engage with internal teams, across multiple touchpoints, for new product launches (e.g. Project Information Management (PIM) system; Digital Asset Management (DAM) system)

  • Channel / Account Management & Sales Support
  • Support the preparation and creation of engaging / persuasive presentation materials
  • Work with Product and Sales teams on creating channel / customer specific marketing materials used for on-line and in-store activity
  • Support the review and assessment of creative executions to ensure a consistent look and feel for each printer segment while remaining true to the overall stated strategic direction
  • Use market research data to provide content and direction to the Sales and Channel teams, with support from management

  • EZ Print Subscription and Consumables
  • Support the execution of subscription service for hardware related items
  • Working alongside the Product team and Print Subscription team, execute subscription messaging during launch process (Cartons, Mylars, Marketing Material, etc.) and update Channel content as necessary
  • Support management in creating strategic initiatives for the EZ Print Subscription program

  • Marketing Liaison (Internally focused departments)
  • Work with various internal departments to further Product Marketing messages and concepts
  • Review and ensure strategic imperatives are executed across all marketing touchpoints
  • Communicate with counterparts in cross-functional teams to ensure completion of marketing materials

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Business, Marketing, or related field preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years; Experience supporting a Marketing, Sales or Marketing Communications department or function through the execution of various deliverables, marketing materials, and other tactics
  • Minimum 3 years; Experience analyzing market data and interpreting/communicating results
  • Minimum 1 year; Experience working in office solutions, consumer electronics, or a similar market

Software/Technical Skills

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to collaborate with others and build relationships across the business

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
