This is where you come in! We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago Area or Santa Clara as a Senior Engineer, Media & Display Technologies!

Responsibilities:

The Senior Engineer, will be focused on R&D activities related to display Picture Quality Technologies.

Duties include:

• Participate and lead activities in relevant technology standards development and industry groups
• Develop, explore and evaluate new picture quality technologies
• Implement, evaluate and refine picture quality features in display products
• Establish and support R&D projects with content and technology partners
• Support technology based promotion of LG’s display enabled products
• Communicate with various internal LGE stakeholders on the status and directions of the above activities

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering with minimum 7 years related experience, or Graduate degree in Science or Engineering with minimum 4 years of experience required
• Demonstrable experience and understanding of color science and visual perception of images and color as it pertains to video display systems
• Experience in Picture Quality related R&D
• Sound interpersonal skills with ability to articulate details for fact-based and intuitive decision making.
• Computer Programming in Scripting &/or advanced programming language.

Desirable:

• Prior participation in Standards Development Activities
• Experience in display metrology, and/or development of video processing solutions
• Familiarity with Matlab
