Job description
Under general supervision of the PBI Formula Grant Director in the Advisement and Support Center, the Student Engagement Specialist (SES) will identify and utilize tools designed to improve the relationship between students, faculty, admissions and the Advisement and Support Center. They will collaborate cross divisions to engage students from admission through graduation. SES will report to the PBI Formula Director which student engagement techniques are successful and which ones need to be revisited. Engagement Specialist will work with students to establish goals, identify basic needs and priorities in order to improve their overall experience at CCTC. The SES will develop an engagement plan and assist students with referrals for resources and communication with Faculty. SES will assist with the development and implementation of student engagement and retention initiatives for the college. Acts as liaison between Academic Advisors and Program Advisors to assist in offering Face-to-face assistance for students. This is a student facing position that may require travel to remote campuses.

High School Diploma. Special consideration will be given to past CCTC students services and CCTC Alumni. Prior experience with student experience and Associates’ Degree preferred.
