LOCATION: Marinette Campus

STANDARD HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (full-time, benefit eligible). Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Flexible schedule to work one late day per week. 10:00am - 6:00pm.

PAY RANGE: $22.45 - $24.95 per hour

  • Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for scheduling, administering, proctoring, and processing assessment, GED/HSED and Admissions testing. Serve students and the general population regarding Tutoring and Accommodations services, and Basic Education. Utilize various software systems and databases to record, report and update information. Assist with career exploration, admissions questions, etc.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Perform processes involved in administering and proctoring tests for a variety of online and paper/pencil tests in a secure test environment for GED, Basic Education, Admissions, make-up tests, Employment testing, etc. Inventory and order testing supplies, maintain statistics, etc. Troubleshoot system problems.
  • Responsible for the GED Testing program on the Marinette campus. Serve as GED Test Examiner. Assist in the selection, training, scheduling of part time Examiners. Communicate with the Department of Public Instruction to assure the GED program complies with state requirements.
  • Serve as liaison between students and counselors to provide test accommodations, interpret IEPs, consult with students regarding what accommodations may be allowed based upon IEP, etc.
  • Coordinate with Academic Skills Lab instructors on campus and jail to process paperwork, GED testing, other requirements, other assessments and Special Needs accommodations.
  • Provide assistance to students on admissions process, programs, classes, schedule appointments, and other college information.
  • Guide individuals and groups through a career exploration process using online career inventories, assessments and other resources. Order and maintain resource inventory.
  • Create schedules and data entry for Test Center, Basic Education, and GED/HSED, and Client Reporting for State reporting system, etc.
  • May assist with Tutoring requests and employment. Collaborate with Tutor Coordinator to arrange tutoring services, provide required training materials to new hires, etc.
  • May assist to coordinate graduation ceremony and participate in campus wide committees, meetings and groups as required or assigned.
  • May work with community agencies (Job Center, Women’s Employment Project, DVR) in organizing services for dislocated workers and clients (educational programs, career planning, labor market search, etc.)

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing to meet certification requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the GED Testing Service.

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of proper test administration procedures and various methods of administering assessments and tests, including computer assisted testing. Knowledge of career exploration materials and processes.
