Teachers On Demand, INC is an educational staffing and recruiting firm that partners with K-12 schools around the United States. We are committed to assisting schools in the recruitment of high-quality educators on a permanent or substitute basis. We are seeking experienced and reliable substitute teachers to join our team of educators at one of our partner schools in San Diego, Ca.

The first authorized public charter schools with a K-8 International Baccalaureate continuum in San Diego, educates children to thrive and contribute as active thinkers in the world. Substitute Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

• Use materials provided to attain lesson goals
• Direct the classroom, accomplishing curriculum objectives and goals outlined in the lesson plans
• Take attendance according to the procedures of the school, keep the classroom and work orderly, and maintain normal classroom rhythms
• Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of the school at all times
• Maintain a professional attitude in all manner of conduct with students, faculty, and parents, including a commitment to confidentiality

Substitute Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS Degree
• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching/tutoring experience within the last 3 years
• CBEST Certification
• 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential
• Detail oriented and able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Able to communicate effectively with other personnel and faculty
• Able to cultivate relationships with pupils in a brief time period
• Confidence and capability in giving instruction in the absence of the regular teacher
• In addition to accepting pre-arranged assignments, you must be able available to accept assignments on demand without prior notice and be able to work at least 3 days per week each week.
