A well-established surgical group is looking for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator for a busy Breast Surgeon.

The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and pre-certifying / pre-authorizing patients for Dr. Kelly Dempsey. The position will involve performing the necessary financial clearance processes with the insurance company and the patient and scheduling the procedure in a timely and efficient manner.

Necessary Skills:

· Extreme politeness, customer service attitude to patients and facilities where procedures are being scheduled

· Team player, working in a seamless, respectful, and cooperative manner with other office staff

· Dedicated work ethic

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as e-mail

· Familiarity with CPT codes, as well as ICD 9 and ICD 10

· Knowledge with pre-certification/ pre-authorization for patients insured by Private Insurance, Workers Comp, as well as Personal Injury Cases involving Letters of Protection

· Able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· High School graduate

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience (Clinical and/or Administrative)

· Proficient in English and Spanish (preferred)

Candidates must be well-versed in insurance verification, appointment scheduling, pre-certification, and have strong computer skills. Strong customer service skills are also a must. The candidate must be professional in appearance with the ability to multi-task. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred. Experience working in surgical practice is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
