Job description

Sun Prairie child care center looking for a candidate who is a team player. Candidate must be flexible and willing to adjust when needed. Primary job will be to cover lunch breaks, vacations, light cleaning or whatever they center may need at the time.

We are a smaller child care center. We have low child to staff ratios so that we can have lots of one-on-one time with the children.

This would be a part-time position. Hours can be flexible but generally something like 8:00-1:00 or 12:30-4:30.

• Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition and social skills
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
• Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety
