Stokes Counseling Services is the largest independent mental health practice located in Connecticut. We are a multi-faceted group practice made up of licensed clinicians and medication management specialized in treating depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and can tailor care to the individual needs of a patient, such as for individuals in the LGBTQ+ community or families facing foster care and adoption. We are dedicated to serving our patients at the highest level and we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us identify best-in-class clinicians who can help us continue to serve our community and patient needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: handling day-to-day recruiting processes, sourcing and presenting candidates that are aligned to the position profile, and managing the candidate experience. The Specialist will be responsible for conducting phone screens with qualified candidates and coordinating additional interviews with qualified candidates. The Specialist will process all recruitment-related administration within agreed timescales and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities will also include attending marketing and recruitment fairs, as well as provide recommendations in order to recruit top talent. Duties may include administrative tasks, such as collecting references, maintaining file records, managing the ATS, preparing offer letters, and other assigned tasks.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Minimum of Associates Degree in related field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two or more years of work experience in the area of Human Resources, preferably within a recruiting capacity.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to accurately evaluate candidates for our open positions.
  • Able to learn and explain numerous positions within Stokes Counseling Services.
  • Exceptional telephone skills including appropriate business phone etiquette and a clear, distinct voice and capacity for sales.
  • Experience with ATS software, job listing sites, social media, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize without compromising quality of work.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to change in strategy, policy, and procedure.
  • Able to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to succeed in and contribute to a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use creative sourcing and recognized best practices in the specialty of talent acquisition to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for current and anticipated job openings. Recruit candidates via telephone, internet, e-mail, social media and other effective avenues.
  • Screen and pre-qualify applicant resumes, apply applicable policy and union criteria, select appropriate applicants for each specific position to move forward in the interview process.
  • Conduct phone screens with qualified candidates and coordinate additional interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers' interactions, and other recruiting activities in the applicant tracking system.
  • Act as a liaison between the Clinical Directors and candidates during the interview/offer process.
  • Provide initial salary recommendations for candidates.
  • Collect references on candidates.
  • Attend career fairs & networking events.
  • Maintain good relationship with team, candidates, employees and clients. Maintain relationships and contracts with third party agencies/vendors.
  • Assist in providing vacancy and recruitment reports for tracking purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
