Job description
Kilpatrick Townsend a large international law firm, is seeking a Talent Management Manager for our Human Resources Department in our Atlanta office. This position could also be located in Raleigh, Winston-Salem or Charlotte North Carolina. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. This position is responsible for mentoring and career progression, including managing and augmenting the Firm's mentoring and advising program, and developing programming and resources to address the life cycle of both attorneys and professional staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, manage, and monitor Firm-wide mentoring and advising programs.
- Serve as the point of contact for program participants.
- Build relationships with mentors and mentees to ensure they are developing successful relationships.
- Develop on-going support activities such as arranging learning opportunities for all participants and regularly sharing relevant resources to mentors and mentees.
- Evaluate program success and mentees' progress.
- Collect formal and informal feedback from participants.
- Develop and execute career progression programming, including content geared towards enhancing alumni relations.
- Create and execute learning strategies and programs.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs.
- Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g., coaching, job-shadowing, online training).
- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Help managers develop their team members through career pathing.
- Develop and manage content in KT Elevate learning paths.
- Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, and other trainings.
- Collaborate with other members of the Talent Management team, and others throughout the Firm where applicable, to execute Talent Management programming.
- Keep up to date on talent management initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- JD is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience working in talent management, professional development, and/or legal or professional education.
- Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to learn and utilize additional programs.
- Exceptional judgment, flexibility, and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and to respect, protect, and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive and take initiative.
- Experience developing positive and collaborative working relationships.
- Experience effectively managing projects and tasks including demonstrating delegation and organizational skills.
- Experience demonstrating effective creative problem solving and people management skills.
This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Atlanta only is $105,000 to $157,600 annually.
