Job Summary

Manage front of house duties for events at the VanTrease PACE in both the Studio Theatre and Main Stage Theatre. Assist with supervision of part-time staff and volunteer ushers.

This is a temporary position.

Essential Duties

Sell tickets and season subscriptions to patrons on the ticketing system, train and work with part-time staff to ensure excellent service; responsible for handling money and making sure it is secure.

Run sales and transaction reports to reconcile all monies and make deposits on a regular basis.

Work with patrons to ensure safe entry and exit from performances; responsible for working incidents with patrons during events i.e. medical emergency, loss of belongings.

Open and close PACE ticket office in coordination with full-time staff.

Assist with supervision of part-time staff and oversee volunteer ushers; recruiting and scheduling.

Train ushers in safety procedures for the facility including medical emergencies, fire and tornado evacuations dealing with difficult patrons and ensuring safety for patrons and performers.

Oversee front-of-house needs for events.

Perform other duties as related to the position or as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills.
Experience in retail or cash handling and financial transactions.
Ability to work under own initiative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Personal computer experience with MS Office and database software.
