Come join our team of best-in-class engineering, manufacturing and repair of advanced gear and gearboxes that can be found in a number of industries such as mining, marine, oil and gas, renewable energy, steel processing and heavy construction equipment! Brad Foote Gear Works, Inc., a division of Broadwind, Inc. is searching for a Tool Room Attendant to join our team in Cicero, IL. This is a second shift position working Monday - Friday from 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Come grow with us!

Responsibilities:

• Perform milling and boring operations on a diversity of components to close tolerances
• Set up and operates a manual mill (Bridgeport), jig mill, band saw and manual lathes
• Install the piece part into the machine
• True up the piece part to within specified maximum T.I.R.
• Install the proper cutting tools
• Check the size and, if it is correct, remove the piece part from the machine
• Finish milling per the Route Sheet (QD222) and blueprint
• Provide necessary hand tools and measuring instruments
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• At least (5) years’ work related experience preferred
• Read and understand drawings of product, and understand all written work instructions
• Use shop mathematics, micrometers and measuring instruments
• Use company provided gauging
• Work from blueprints, sketches, route sheets and verbal orders
• Have basic knowledge of CNC controls and understanding of how to make tool offsets as needed to maintain blueprints specifications
