Position Summary
Develops and delivers specialized, technical training. Coordinates the delivery and design of programs within scope of responsibility. Leads projects related to assigned lines of business or functional area.
- Working knowledge of personal and commercial lines policies and coverages, or related field experience highly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and delivers specialized, technical training curriculum to Employees and Agents, using available technologies and advanced delivery methods. Partners with contracted vendors to deliver co-facilitated training as required. May create models and props to support curriculum.
Analyzes performance results and consults with leadership in the branches and Home Office to assess current training solutions and recommends training program modifications. Identifies gaps between ERIE's current competence and organizational directives.
Identifies data sources for consulting purposes. Partners with assigned business unit(s) to identify key metrics that support overall impact and successful transfer of learning objectives.
Leads projects related to assigned line of business or functional area. Conducts research and makes recommendations as required.
Reviews education materials and updates as necessary. Collaborates with other content owners to ensure that content is accurate and current.
Attends and assists with hosting events in support of training programs, including business after hour events.
Maintains and applies current knowledge of trends affecting the insurance industry and/or adult learning. Develops new and effective ways to deliver educational sessions.
Adheres to budgets and company and travel guidelines.
May coach and mentor less experienced trainers.

Educational Equivalencies
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; or
- Associate’s degree in related field and two years related experience; or
- High school diploma and four years related experience.
Seven years relevant experience in designated training subject area, including a working knowledge of related business operations, procedures and systems required. In-depth experience working with ERIE procedures and policies or related experience required. Experience in training, consulting or a related field required. Designation in a related field (e.g., General Insurance Certification (AINS)) preferred. Technical certifications preferred. Proficiency with estimating systems preferred. Willingness to attain Master Trainer designation, or equivalent designation, within one year of hire required. Travel, including overnight stays, required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
