TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate need for a Traveling Quality Inspector.

(Must be available to travel out of state for extended periods of time. Travel expenses paid).

Overall Purpose of the Quality Containment Technician:

The Traveling Containment Technician is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly.

This is full time position with benefits. Hours 7am to 3:30pm M-F – pay rate 17.00 hourly. Permanent Position directly on with TRIGO

Pay is Bi-weekly & we have the option for daily pay

The main facility is in Summerville SC. When you are not traveling the employee would be working at the TRIGO facility. When the employee is set for travel and working on projects travel and lodging will be paid for. The ideal candidate HAS to be within the area to do daily work at the TRIGO facility. Also, Traveling projects will range in time frame- could be 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 months. While traveling all expenses are paid, transportation- hotels- and you get a daily expense.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use
  • Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies
  • Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader
  • Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material
  • Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job
  • Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies
  • Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of materials and production processes
  • Basic knowledge of quality control methods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)
