General Job Description:
Great part-time job to deliver cooking games, activities and instruction to K-6 graders looking for great activities for after-school. A fun job working with kids in Wylie, Sachse, Plano, Richardson, and Allen. Instructors will be responsible for shopping, gathering of program materials and providing instruction on simple cooking items that give kids healthier choice options. After-school programs start at 2:30pm until 4:15pm. Expect up to 20 hours per week.

  • Enhance your interpersonal and social skills
  • Spend time in a fun environment where kids connect cooking with math and science
Qualifications:
Love working with kids!! Enjoy being creative through art and cooking. High school diploma plus relevant work experience. Some college preferred. Discipline and reliability are important. Candidates must be either in-progress or have completed a degree program. Candidates must want to work with children ages 5 and up; with at least 6 months of equivalent study/experience. Past summer camp work or volunteering experience helpful.

  • Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check in order to work with children,
  • Reliable transportation,
  • Love kids,
  • Enjoy cooking (some cooking background a plus),
  • Good oral and written communication skills,
  • Organizational skills,
  • Multi-tasking,
  • Business common sense,
Other skills:
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • People skills required.
  • Microsoft Office products are preferred.
  • Candidate must have access to a computer, internet and printer.
  • Job duties involve the occasional use of technology. Cooking basics are needed. Also, reliable transportation is a must.
