Vice President of Information Technology
GBA Companies is establishing a new position for a VP of Information Technology. This position will develop and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for how information technology can be applied across the organization to advance GBA Companies and Affiliate Companies business. Leads the assessment and prioritization of strategic technology investments while planning, organizing, and controlling all activities of the Information Technology Department to ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all data processing systems. Direct and manage information technology policies, programs and schedules for all information technology services across GBA Companies and Affiliates.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize the current information technology environment, create, and implement a plan to add functionality to support the strategic needs of the business and contribute as a key member of the senior leadership team
  • Develop and manage IT budgets outlining the technology investments that deliver the most enterprise value. Develop strategic plans, prioritize use of resources to achieve the maximum return on investment for GBA Companies.
  • Communicate strategic IT plans to the company and oversee their successful implementation
  • Build a strong, IT team with talented, accountable leadership over key systems
  • Create a project management function to effectively gather requirements and successfully deliver strategic projects
  • Provide top quality, consistently available technology service, support, training, and maintenance of all systems used throughout GBA Companies.
  • Direct the information security and data integrity of the company’s data across all business units
  • Ensure the security of all information systems, data, telecommunication, and technology equipment
  • Provide periodic updates on cyber security risks and mitigation plans to senior leadership and Board level as required
  • Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Review and approve major contracts for information technology services and equipment. oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages
  • Identify emerging information technologies to be tested, integrated, and adopted within the company
  • Compile and review KPI’s and service level agreements to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service
  • Develop methods to continually improve benchmark results
  • Develop and establish operating policies and approaches for information technology and recommend enhancements
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • At least fifteen years of work experience overseeing information technology departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, including creating a compelling vision and associated strategy for a complex organization and gaining commitment to the strategy from stakeholders
  • Inspiring, visionary and collaborative leader who can influence others to achieve common goals by engaging and developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others through motivation and inspiration to ensure results and a willingness to engage with staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner and influence others in a collaborative manner navigating within a matrixed organization
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical information in a consumable way to stake holders
  • Ability to multi-task, lead and deliver consistent results under strict deadlines
  • 4 Year College degree or graduate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; MBA a plus.
