Perfect job for college students pursuing degrees in animal-related fields, stay at home moms, retail or restaurant workers who work evenings and who love dogs and being outside, and active, energetic retirees! Training is provided, but you must have some experience with dogs primarily. This is an awesome job for someone who has another side job/income but is looking for a good way to make a little extra cash, get some exercise outdoors and be around animals! The time frames are generally between 10-3, Monday-Friday but there are other times sprinkled in there on occasion.
It is also a serious job... you MUST be available and show up every day you are scheduled as the dogs depend on it. You MUST be trustworthy as we are entering people's homes and caring for their beloved family members. You must pass a background check.
You must be over the age of 18 for insurance purposes. We require at least 6 month commitment as it takes a lot of time, and effort and therefore money to get a new walker introduced to the clients.

You MUST be available to work weekdays. If you also have some morning, evening and weekend availability, that would be a plus. Hours and times may increase as the business increases in specific locations. Most of our business is based in the Portland area, so if you don't live within a 10 mile radius of Portland, it probably wouldn't be a good fit. This job is part-time to start, with the potential of going full time in September for the right person.

Pet sitting includes visiting clients’ pets in their own home throughout the day. Pets range from dogs of all sizes, cats and the occasional exotic pet. Duties include dog walking, litter scooping, feeding and communication with clients during and after each visit. Many visits occur at various times throughout the day. Emphasis on reliable transportation.

Dog Walkers Responsibilities:

• Work flexible hours as required
• Must safeguard clients keys and alarm codes

• Check that pets have ample water supply and refill as necessary
• Make sure no damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Confirm that if any potty accidents have occurred in the homes of our clients to clean up.
• Communicate with clients and with management using scheduling system provided by the company.

Dog Walker Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must have weekday availability
• Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must be able to self-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a genuine love for animals
• Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large dogs
• Must be able to meet the rigorous physical demands of this job. You’ll be on your feet and walking, in all kinds of weather, for several hours a day
• Must be able to pass criminal background check
• Should have experience and experience must be reflected on the resume
