Statement of Purpose:

This position is an entry level accounting position primarily responsible for the various accounting functions related to our real estate which includes, but is not limited to rent, taxation of our real estate and personal property, the licensing and permits for all our restaurants, and the property related general liability insurance claims.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Record all leasing activity, including but not limited to; rent, rent escalations, lease terminations and all other lease movements.
• Process and record all real estate tax invoices and amounts due to ensure that we are current with all taxing authorities.
• Liaison to the outsourced firm who files all restaurant personal property tax returns.
• Accounts for all general liability insurance claims, with the assistance of Legal.
• Run the jobs in D365 to record month end lease activity.
• Record the month end accruals for all lease and tax related accounts.
• Reconcile the lease and tax general ledger accounts.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting requests.
• Collaborate with other departments such as Legal and Operations on an as needed basis for property related activity.
• Interacts with external auditors in completing audits.

Knowledge:

• 
  Intermediate accounting knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong MS Office skills, including word and excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision to manage internal deadlines.

Education/Experience:

• 
  Bachelors degree in accounting
