Our Wagners CFT US head office is based in Cresson Texas, 25 minutes southwest of Fort Worth, and with steady growth and expansion at the forefront of our plans, we are currently seeking a successful Business Development Manager (BDM) to work in the Marine Infrastructure and related industries, working with the world’s most innovative products, composites!
Purpose:
The key role of the BDM – Marine Structures (preferably located in the Gulf Coast region) is to grow sales and conceptualize new opportunities in Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) structures, such as, jetties, wharfs, docks, etc., for the Marine market. The BDM is expected to develop, foster and maintain customer relationships for the CFT business. The focus and emphasis will be placed on Marine applications and projects, as well as assisting in the sales of structures in other market segments.
The sales process involves several stages, and it is expected that the BDM will see the project from initial specifications and application right through until project delivery. Wagners is committed to ensuring the highest levels of customer service and the role of BDM is vital to continuing our strong business growth and relationships.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General business development and sales activities, including but not limited to, new business development, prospecting and following up leads
- Help to identify new applications, technologies, and markets that would suit Wagners CFT capabilities
- Develop target and opportunity lists in the marine market
- Work with Estimating, Project Management & Chief Commercial Officer in developing growth strategies and plans for the business
- Identify appropriate client base for new product and generate initial discussions and interest in sales
- Prioritize and prepare the tender documentation for active projects going to bid in your respective territory
- Work closely with the estimation team to build product offering, pricing, and quotations. Ensure all documentation is forwarded or identified to estimation including "scopes of work"

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Composite Industry experience
- Marine Market, Waterway structures, or industry experience
- Experience in project bidding within the contractor environment
- Experience in Manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of team
- Possess flexibility, adaptability and versatility of approach to handle changing work requirements
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
