Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at a skilled rehab nursing home. The CNA will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and assist in providing quality care to our patients/residents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. • Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff. • Assist in transporting patients/residents to and from appointments and activities. • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. • Help maintain a safe and clean environment for patients/residents. • Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures. • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities. • Support patients/residents in their rehabilitation goals. • Provide emotional support to patients/residents and their families.
Requirements: • Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of employment. • High School diploma or equivalent. • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients/residents, families, and staff. • Ability to work well in a team environment. • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. • Basic computer skills. • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in a skilled rehab nursing home. • Bilingual in English and Spanish. • CPR certification.
