Job description

Diesel Technician/Heavy Truck Mechanics will:

- Perform quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy Truck and Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer designed procedures or accepted industry practices.

- Have knowledge of Heavy Duty Trailer maintenance and repair.

- Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.

- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts.

- Perform repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.

- Conduct field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.

- Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.

- Accurately complete all paperwork and utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairs.

- Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

- Perform Annual DOT inspections and complete associated inspection forms.

- Dedication and adherence to all company and industry safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

Experience:

• Automotive electrical systems: 3 years (Preferred)
• Annual DOT Inspections: 1 year (Required)
• Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Drivers License (Required)
