Garden View Care Center of O’Fallon is looking for an experience floor tech/housekeeper to join our wonderful team at our beautiful skilled nursing community located in the heart of St. Charles County off highway 70.

This individual with be responsible for maintaining floor surfaces and stairwells, including but not limited to the following: sweeps, mops, buffs, polishes, scrubs, strips, vacuums, spot cleans, and extracts using heavy equipment. May Perform restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas in flooring.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains floor surfaces and stairwells, including but not limited to the following: sweeps, mops, buffs, polishes, scrubs, strips, vacuums, spot cleans, and extracts using heavy equipment. May Perform restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas in flooring.
• Complete documentation of project work performed on appropriate forms within established time frames. Properly identifies her/himself, respects privacy and confidentiality when serving patients and other customers.
• Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for the specific work assignment and reports equipment that is in need of repair. Cleans and maintains all equipment used on shift including vacuum, cart, mop buckets, floor machines, floor signs, trash carts, furniture moving equipment, and all other equipment necessary to perform the functions of this job according to established procedure.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies, and cleaning techniques according to procedures and manufacturer recommendations. Ensures all chemicals are safely stored, handled, and disposed of as stated on the material safety data sheets.
• Adheres to safety precautions, policies, procedures and standards for handling infectious wastes, hazardous materials, waste spills, and exposures. Reports all events as required by ministry documentation standards.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies, and cleaning techniques according to procedures and manufacturer recommendations. Ensures all chemicals are safely stored, handled, and disposed of as stated on the material safety data sheets.
• Replenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas.
• May transport trash, hazardous waste, soiled linen, and recyclable trash to appropriate disposal areas following policies, procedures, and standards.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
