Total Veterinary Care in Kennesaw, GA, is looking for a Full-Time, non-licensed vet tech/experienced veterinary assistant to join our team in a fast-paced, busy practice. Our ideal candidate is a positive self-starter who is motivated to learn and engage with their team and clients.

We are looking for someone who:

- Has the knowledge and skills consistent with someone who has been working in the field for at least 2 years

- Can demonstrate some of the following advanced skills:

- a good understanding of medical terminology and anatomy

- ability to handle aggressive/scared animals

- experience in reading cytologies, urinalysis, etc.

- the ability to run in-house lab work

- some experience with radiology and radiology positioning

- capable of IV catheter placement

- experience with anesthesia monitoring under the direction and supervision of a DVM

- experience with surgery assistance

- Takes initiative by preparing for each day’s appointments, taking phone calls, setting appointments, taking medical history of patients, assisting veterinarians in surgery, physical exams and diagnostic workups, etc.

- Can demonstrate efficient organization and has the ability to pay attention to multiple details by taking initiative and staying motivated to provide excellent service to our clients

- Wants to learn new skills and is focused on using them to advance their careers for the betterment of themselves, their team, and the clients and patients we serve

- Has a positive attitude and is an effective and respectful team player

- Is available for rotating Saturday shifts
